About me

muziwakhe wellington zulu

I'm an AI Full-Stack Developer & Systems Architect with over five years of production experience building high-scale applications. From AI-augmented enterprise HRIS platforms to multi-tenant SaaS and serverless LLM infrastructure.

My foundation is Electrical and Computer Engineering from UCT, where I also coached the university to first place at the 2024 CHPC National Cybersecurity Challenge and presented peer-reviewed ML research at SATNAC 2024 in ICS/SCADA intrusion detection.

I don't just integrate APIs — I design the architecture that scales, the database schemas that survive growth, and the Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, AWS ECS/S3) that deploys confidently. Currently architecting core microservices, predictive analytics, and conversational AI chatbots for enterprise HR ecosystems at Zimworx.

Cloud-native, AI-augmented enterprise HR Information System engineered for Zimworx to operationalize workforce data across 19 interconnected modules (scaling to 20,000+ team members). Features AI-driven Talent Acquisition with semantic CV parsing and candidate ranking, 72-hour automated onboarding orchestration, Employee Masterfile single-source-of-truth, geofenced attendance, performance appraisals with auto-generated PIPs, and "HIVE Buddy" — an embedded 24/7 conversational AI chatbot. Powered by Node.js/TypeScript microservices, PostgreSQL ACID multi-schema, Redis caching, and Terraform-provisioned AWS ECS and S3 infrastructure.

  • Building core backend services (TypeScript, Node.js) for HIVE, an enterprise-scale internal HR information system used for large-scale employee lifecycle management; leading code reviews to enforce secure, consistent architecture across the codebase.
  • Integrating external hiring-team systems into HIVE, connecting recruitment data flows with core employee records.
  • Wiring up AI-driven features including a conversational HR chatbot, predictive analytics, and workforce trend reporting.
